Trustworthy and useful information about the lists of candidates and parties is often difficult to get. As a result, we often discover the full list of candidates only on the day of elections when we see the ballot paper!

Elections Mauritius provides all the basic information that everyone needs in order to make an informed choice. Use technology to look for information on every single candidate, irrespective of his/her presence in the mass media or the size of the party.

Each candidate has his/her own page with detailed information (name, address, occupation, indicated community, party, and constituency). Use Google to search for the candidate's presence online: his/her webpage, pictures and Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn profiles.

Extras include interesting facts and figures such as: the distribution of candidates by community, the number of housewives, students and unemployed standing as candidates, etc.
